A special welcome to our many new followers from the Great Homeschool Conventions! Here are some kind words shared by Laura G. who found Slugs & Bugs music for the first time at the Cincinnati event:
"I have a 3 kids, ages 12, 10 and 5. The only time we really listen to music in CD version is when we are in the car. At first my husband and the tweens were not so sure and kind of groaned when I'd put "children's" CDs in, but before you know it they were all singing along and admitting they loved the music. (How could you NOT?! 😊 ) My husband specializes in doing the monster and Count Dracula voices in the 10 Commandments.
Fast forward to this week. We drove down to southwest Florida (2 eight-hour days one way) and are now on our way back. We have had difficulty finding Christian radio, so these Slugs and Bugs CDs have been played nearly continuously!! My 5 year old son is singing along with every song and has declared he LOVES Slugs and Bugs! It warms my heart to hear him memorizing God's Word, and honestly, we are too right along with him. I have your music ringing through my head all the time now."Read More
Sing the Bible with Slugs & Bugs Volume 3, the latest release in renowned family entertainer Randall Goodgame's critically-acclaimed word-for-word Scripture series, bows April 27. Produced by Ben Shive (Rend Collective, MercyMe), Sing the Bible Volume 3 features contributions from such award-winning singer/songwriters as Bart Millard (MercyMe), Mike Weaver (Big Daddy Weave), Sara Groves and Andrew Peterson; as well as acclaimed hip-hop and spoken-word recording artist Propaganda and New York Times bestselling author Sally Lloyd-Jones, among others.
The seventh installment in Goodgame's Dove Award-nominated Slugs & Bugs series and the fourth Sing the Bible recording, the project showcases 16 tracks comprising original music compositions and spoken character vignettes. Highlights include toe-tappers "Get Up!" (feat. Propaganda) and "The Beatitudes"; "I Am The Way," with lead vocals from Big Daddy Weave's Mike Weaver; the inspirational ballad "Living Water"; and "Not By Bread Alone," a Matthew 4:4 chorus featuring the multi-layered harmonies of MercyMe's Bart Millard.
In addition to music, Sing the Bible Volume 3 welcomes back a Slugs & Bugs fan favorite-Chauncy Raccoon, voiced by Andrew Peterson. Along with his friends Mortimer Raccoon (Bart Millard) and "hard-nosed reporter" Sally Lloyd-Jones, Chauncy teaches the importance of being a humble giver (Matthew 6:2-4) through the adventures of the "Society Of Extraordinary Raccoon Society."
A singer and sought-after songwriter, CCMMagazine.com hails Randall Goodgame as “…the greatest thing to happen to children’s music in a generation.” His Slugs & Bugs brand was birthed in 2007 with the debut of Slugs & Bugs & Lullabies, a collaboration with award-winning singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson. Goodgame now solely helms the Dove Award-nominated series, which continues to receive rave reviews from parents around the world. Among other projects, the Slugs & Bugs line includes four Sing the Bible word-for-word Scripture recordings and two beloved Christmas releases.

Slugs & Bugs is pleased to present "Sing the Bible Family Christmas"! LISTEN HERE
When writing some Scripture songs about the birth of Jesus, I was influenced by the jazz piano music from the Charles Schulz Peanuts Christmas special. That music just feels like Christmas to me! So I wrote in a similar style.
The Sing the Bible Christmas CD includes verses like...
Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given... (Isaiah 9:6)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God... (John 1:1-4)
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us... (John 1:14)
When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his son born of woman... (Galatians 4:4-7)
My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices... (Mary's Song from Luke 1)
And many more, plus a few bonus tracks.
Our plan is for Sing the Bible Christmas to be such a delight musically - and such a refreshment to your spirit through Scripture - that you play it all year long.Read More
